Having been the first product hire at a start-up that I helped lead to a multi-hundred-million dollar acquisition, I know the nature of product leadership: your world is complex and there’s no one to tell you what to do, forcing you to evolve without a playbook on how.
But more than the skills or frameworks for navigating the work, this chapter requires you take control of the inner turmoil, anxiety, and imposter syndrome that are inherent to the role, so you can lead with authenticity & confidence rather than reactivity & fear.

My approach is shaped by my own journey
I began my career in hedge funds, gaining grit & horse-power but lacking feelings of authenticity and fulfillment in my work
I joined an early-stage start-up as product hire #1, which I helped scale & grow to an eventual $X00M acquisition
I burned out in the process, and took a 6 month sabbatical to again realign my work as a leader to be more authentic to me
I started consulting and coaching for start-ups and individual product leaders (from pre-PMF all the way to Fortune 500)
Each step has required I evolve both my inner and outer worlds as a leader, to meet the demands of each new role while feeling a greater sense of alignment and fulfillment.
My work as a coach is dedicated to helping others do the same.
